For this ragtag band of space gays, liberation means beating the patriarchy at its own game. Pan's life used to be very small. Work in her dad's body shop, sneak out with her friend Tara to go dancing, and watch the skies for freighter ships. It didn't even matter that Tara was a princess... until one day it very much did matter, and Pan had to say goodbye forever. A ragtag group of gays in space fighting the patriarchy. The art and colors are absolutely stunning. The characters are all interesting and well-rounded and the plot is super compelling. Light, fun and fast-moving with great artwork, coupled with fighting tired gender expectations. Can’t wait to read the next volume.

THIS WAS SO GOOD! The art style is FANTASTIC and the premise of princesses fighting in suits to earn their own hand in marriage 😍 AMAZING! The world had me super intrigued and I need to know more about the political scheming its so fun. Also having a scifi with only women as main characters was just very nice (Also I read this online which is very nice to have a free version, but I really want to buy a physical copy because the art style is super inspiring!)

This book is the epitome of the memes "Be Gay, Do Crimes" and "Space is Gay." It's great fun, the art is so beautiful it makes me stare in awe, and as a Lesbian TM I can't tell you how affirming and wonderful it is to see a cast made up pretty much entirely of sapphic ladies. I can't wait for Volume 2!

Bought at SPX 2019 (apparently pre-release date but no one mentioned it to me). Space lesbians, sci-fi knights in armor, fucking up the patriarchy. What’s not to love? The lines and colors and facial expressions were very well done, too.

I like the premise and how queer it is. Hope Tara and Pan get reunited soon.

Delivered every bit of the “ragtag group of space gays” that hooked me from the back jacket with high impact art and clear, concise, engaging writing. I literally have a crush on every main character and I cannot wait for more. Queer and fabulous and highly recommended.

In a galaxy where princesses are fought for and won by cosmoknights, who are paid by wealthy suitors, two knights have been secretly working to buck the system. When these two are dangerously injured in a bout, they come to Pan's mother for medical attention. But when Pan hears their story, she can't resist stowing away with them. Together, can the three actually make a difference? The action sequences were difficult to follow at times, but the strong character development makes up for that. I'm intrigued enough to probably check out volume 2.

When do I get to read #2?? This is not your grandpa's comic book. It does not take place on Earth (play, lots don't, but somehow that was still a surprise to me), and none of the heroes are dudes. (Or duds, for the record.) Pan lives on the planet Viridian, working on cars as much as her dad and the other guys at the garage will let her. But Pan ends up meeting some pretty interesting people who stop in unannounced, and she entangles herself into a plot to thwart the misogyny that props up their galactic society... Super fun, with satisfyingly queer characters. Some of the action sequences (there were several of them) were hard for me to follow, but the coloring to show the memories versus the present was really well done. Now, my biggest problem is waiting for the second volume!

Princeless in space, if it were super-gay. The story is a lot of fun, with the potential to be a cool examination of class, if the story continues. The art is A level webcomics with a very magenta color pallete. You could almost recommend this as an all-ages book except that the word "shit" is in it three times for pteey much no reason. A queer story about class warfare against royal families, as instigated by a queer former princess is conceptually cool, though, and I will Princeless in space, if it were super-gay. This book is unbelievably dreamy. I can hardly believe it exists. It’s too perfect to be real. The characters are so likeable and cool I cannot get enough of them. The plot is mad cool, the whole story having a sense of casual inclusivity is a breath of fresh air. The romances are beautiful. I must have re-read this book at least four times now. Absolutely one of my favorite releases of 2019. It's like this entire book was made exactly to my taste, from full-page spreads lingering on the big butch knight who could beat me up, to the whole plot of princesses are fighting for and saving themselves, lesbians in space, and queer women smashing the patriarchy. The art is gorgeous; I found myself lingering over a lot of the pages, savoring the beautiful cosmic backgrounds and the loving detail with which each of the main characters is drawn. HOLY SHIT. THIS IS MY JAM! Space adventures, fighting mech suits, queer characters, shitty royalty, and fighting the patriarchy???? SIGN ME UP! Not only is the artwork breathtaking, the pacing of the story is solid, grabbing you and pulling you in! I was curious and filled with questions and as some things were answered new questions popped up! The writing kept me engaged and I can't wait for the next book! If could give this 10 stars I would!

The art and colors are flipping amazing. The story is full of sci-fi imagination and with lots of rad action sequences to keep you page turning. One the best graphic novels I've read in 2019. The fun factor overall was very high for me and CosmoKnights will likely be a future re-read. Very happy I purchased. I previewed the book as a web comic (I recommend checking out the preview before buying) and now love having this story in print.

This is the first time I’ve ever bothered to buy the print edition of a webcomic I already read for free. It’s gorgeous. And yes, very gay, and one of the few pieces of media I can think of with major butch lesbian characters.

LOVED this graphic novel! Finished it in one sitting, couldn’t get enough. The story is captivating, the characters are strong and diverse and badass, the art is lovely. Gays in space, what more can you ask for? I really can’t wait for book two! 🚀💫

cool setting, lovely art, eyeroll-inducing blurb, and the end hints that future volumes might actually get into the class analysis that would have made the story worthwhile, so... this one's a "maybe"

Our heroes have joined the resistance! I’ve got to read the next one now! Loved the bright colors and beautiful people. I really don’t like comics where ALL the characters are drawn warped, exaggerated, ugly.

It was an intriguing first volume but I sometimes felt that the story was a bit all over the place and it was hard for me to follow and figure out what is really going on. However, I do love the LGBTQ representation. That was a huge plus!
